Secret Affair + Purple Hearts

Secret Affair and Purple Hearts present an essential mod revival double bill.

Secret Affair, formed from the ashes of power pop band New Hearts, built their reputation with sell-out shows and a high-profile support slot on The Jam’s 1979 tour. They released five Top 40 singles, including ‘Time For Action’ and ‘Let Your Heart Dance’, and released three acclaimed LPs before reforming in 2002. Purple Hearts, formed in 1977, were one of the main bands of the Mod Revival era, alongside The Jam and Secret Affair. Their debut single ‘Millions Like Us’ hit the UK charts, and they released their debut album ‘Beat That!’ in 1980.
