Create Your Own Ghost

A free drop-in family session where children learn about local ghosts, explore spooky historic objects and capture their own ghost in words or pictures sealed with hot wax.

Presented by Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens, this family-friendly 'ghost writing' session runs from 1pm to 3pm and is suitable for ages 4 and up. Participants learn about the famous ghosts of Sunderland and Washington and explore spooky historic objects from the museum's collection. They then capture their own local ghost in pictures or words and lock it away with a hot wax seal. It is a drop-in activity with no booking required.
