About
An exhibition exploring the intertwined histories of homelessness, resistance, and survival from the 1600s to the present day.
The exhibition explores how modern ideas about homelessness originated from historical concepts, starting with the Homelessness Big Bang in the early 1600s. It traces the histories of people made homeless and transported from England, Ireland, and Africa to early plantations. Visitors will explore land enclosure, colonial rebellion, Victorian institutions, and modern resistance movements.
