Short Blue Food Court Launch

Barking’s new Short Blue Food Court opens with a DJ, an emerging local artists showcase and short sets by singer-songwriters Maryam, Kayden Rons and Svetlana. The six kiosks serve hot food, drinks and snacks; purchases are separate from the free public launch.

The launch begins with a public welcome and DJ at noon. One Room Collective’s takeover starts at 12:10, with an emerging local artists showcase until 1pm, then singer-songwriter sets by Maryam, Kayden Rons and Svetlana from 1:15 to 2pm. The council says six kiosks on Short Blue Place will serve hot food, drinks and snacks and names five participating traders: Noodle Bar, Dragos Romanian, Nomie’s Kitchen, Sital Jeel and Samarkand Palav. Spending over £10 on food qualifies customers for raffle tickets; food purchases are separate from admission.
