Creating Accessible Events

This A11y Together evening examines accessibility across the planning and delivery of events. Ross Calladine discusses accessible tourism, Orla Pearson considers AI, human and hybrid captioning, and Claire Lee looks at choosing suitable venues and getting clear access information. Short talks are followed by discussion and networking with drinks and light food. The event welcomes people at any stage of event planning and anyone interested in inclusion. It is held in the first-floor Sainsbury’s offices at the JJ Mack Building, reached by lift or stairs. Free registration is required; attendees can provide access and dietary requirements.
