About

A free contemporary jewellery exhibition exploring Manchester's suffragette and feminist legacy, part of the inaugural Manchester Jewellery Week.

City of Suffragettes is a contemporary jewellery exhibition marking Manchester's role as birthplace of the suffragette movement. Members of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery were invited to create new work responding to the women, movements and ideas that shaped the city, from Emmeline Pankhurst to today's activists. Curated by Eve Redmond with Joanne Haywood, the show is accompanied by a Suffragette Studio Trail of resident jewellers' work and forms a highlight of the first Manchester Jewellery Week.
