About
Chickenshed's Christmas theatre production follows five children through a divided world as they explore trust, courage and belonging. The large ensemble performs in five rota groups.
A two-hour festive story for ages 5 and above, staged in the Rayne Theatre with nearly 800 performers across five rota groups. British Sign Language is integrated into every performance; selected dates are captioned, audio described or sensory sensitive. The public run spans November to January, with separate school performances advertised by Chickenshed. School performances are booked through the school booking form, rather than ordinary public ticket sales: 24 November at 10am and 1pm; 25 and 26 November at noon; 27 November at noon (Gallery only); 1 December at 10am and 1pm; 2 December at 10am and 1pm (the 1pm performance is captioned); 3 and 4 December at noon (Gallery only); 8 December at 10am and 1pm; and 9 and 10 December at noon. Only the 24 November 10am school performance is also open to adult groups; all other school sessions are schools only. School seats cost £12.50, with one complimentary teacher ticket for every ten child tickets. The 1 December 1pm and 8 December 10am school performances are sold out.
