Colour Systems | Leigh Bagley

Free exhibition of geometric, colour-based works by Royal College of Art graduate Leigh Bagley at Upright Gallery, Edinburgh.

Colour Systems is a solo exhibition by textile and pattern designer Leigh Bagley, who works between hand-cut paper compositions and digitally constructed prints. Using the circle as a tool, the works investigate transparency, overlap, proportion and optical relationships, drawing on modernist design and the Bauhaus tradition. The show explores how colour and abstract form can create rhythm, balance and movement, presenting colour as something constructed and continually reconfigured. It runs Wednesdays to Fridays 11am–5pm and Saturdays 12–4pm.
