About
Alice Parsloe's second solo exhibition of paintings exploring contemporary female identity by reimagining art history.
A Woman's Place is Alice Parsloe's second solo show, exploring tensions in contemporary female identity through personal experience and reimagined art history. Parsloe, a fine artist for ten years who appears in the latest series of Sky Portrait Artist of the Year, reconstructs familiar artworks with central male figures around female stories, including a portrait inspired by 16th-century artist Sofonisba Anguissola. The exhibition runs daily from 11am to 6pm, with a private view on Tuesday 10 November from 6pm to 9pm.
