Greenwich Chamber Orchestra Beethoven and Brahms

The Greenwich Chamber Orchestra performs Beethoven's Egmont Overture and Eighth Symphony and Brahms's First Piano Concerto at St Alfege Church.

The Greenwich Chamber Orchestra gives one of its twice-yearly concerts in Hawksmoor's St Alfege Church. The first half pairs the Egmont Overture with Beethoven's Eighth Symphony, a light-hearted work the composer reportedly rated above its more famous neighbours. After the interval, soloist Misha Kaploukhii joins for Brahms's First Piano Concerto, led by Gonzalo Acosta and conducted by the orchestra's founder David Cutts.
