Strange But True
About
Former forensics lecturer Jennifer Rees presents an evening exploring shocking and hard-to-believe true crime cases.
Jennifer Rees, a former forensics lecturer and police recruit trainer, leads a talk on some of the world's most astonishing crimes. The evening covers cases including a serial killer who worked in law enforcement while on the run, a researcher whose career began after a lift encounter with a killer, a woman who committed a copycat murder to free a serial killer, and the hunt for a phantom female serial killer whose DNA appeared at over 40 crime scenes despite not existing. The talk also explains how DNA, fingerprints or eyewitnesses could wrongly tie someone to a crime. It is a seated event for ages 16 and over.
