Box Tale Soup presents 1984

Box Tale Soup present their puppetry adaptation of Orwell's dystopian classic 1984 at Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall.

Award-winning theatre company Box Tale Soup present a new adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984, using their distinctive puppetry as a metaphor for Orwell's vision of power and control. The story follows Winston Smith, a small cog in the Party's machine who dreams of freedom in a world of surveillance and shifting truths. The production features the voices of Sophie Aldred and Joanna Lumley, with Simon Russell Beale as the voice of Big Brother, and was an official sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2025.
