A two-day hands-on course teaching classic car owners how to inspect, test and maintain their engines, from cylinder head work to compression testing.

This two-day workshop at the Heritage Skills Academy takes participants deeper into the classic car engine, building on the academy's Care for Your Classics course. Under expert tutors from the restoration industry, attendees get hands-on practice in cylinder head removal and reassembly, bore and crankshaft inspection, camshaft assessment and compression testing, learning to interpret results and diagnose engine health. The course is aimed at owners who want to maintain their own cars with confidence, and completion of the prerequisite two-day Care for Your Classics course is required. Ages 16+.
