About

Explore Canons Ashby’s Arthurian Christmas decorations and help Merlin complete a children’s trail spell.

The house decorations draw on Arthurian legends and on stories that inspired John Dryden, a member of the Canons Ashby family and the first poet laureate. The Christmas Quest gives children a trail to find ingredients for Merlin’s spell. The event itself has no separate charge, but ordinary house admission applies; the house has stairs, uneven floors and low lighting.
