A survey of Pope.L’s work across painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, video and performance material.
The presentation follows the artist’s shifting treatment of language, identity and everyday materials through works from his Skin Set and Negro Idea series, alongside the large painting Identity What We Lose To Real For (2022). Selected performance works appear in a dedicated screening room, giving the exhibition a view of Pope.L’s practice across several decades.
