About

A talk by Professor Geoffrey Wood on how AI content, journal bulking, method expectations and rankings are reshaping the academic journal ecosystem.

Professor Geoffrey Wood of Western University, Canada, delivers a talk on major developments in the journal ecosystem and their implications for authors. The talk covers four components: journal responses to AI-generated content and data integrity concerns; the phenomenon of bulking, where established journals greatly increase annual article output; changing expectations around research methods, comparing finance and management trends; and trends in journal rankings. All colleagues and PhD students are welcome to attend.
