Let’s celebrate our contributions to our communities with Lavern

A free Black History Month session at Wood Green Library combining sewing and creative writing to build stories that honour the community.

Led by Lavern (aka Nehanda), this session invites participants to sew and write together, using both crafts to develop stories that strengthen self and honour the community. Attendees are asked to bring an open heart and mind to develop their creativity through the written word and sewing. The event runs for two hours in the early evening.
