About
Hackney Gypsy-punk-folk band Rotten Boroughs play a live set at Jamboree Venue the Friday before Christmas.
Rotten Boroughs, a Gypsy-punk-folk-trash-n-roll band formed around a core of Hackney boaters, headline a night of live music at Jamboree. Their sound draws on the Pogues, Gogol Bordello, Hank Williams Snr and the Dead Brothers, and the line-up features current and past members of acts including Daisy Chainsaw, Christian Death, Urban Voodoo Machine and Jim Jones Revue. Live music starts at 9pm, with the venue's 'Zer kitchen open from 5pm serving Middle Eastern fusion food beforehand.
