About
Costumed characters bring the lives and daily work of Workhouse inmates to life through demonstrations and short storytelling sessions.
Visitors can try writing on a slate, helping with washing and learning to pick oakum, then hear stories from costumed characters portraying people who lived and worked in the institution. Three 30-minute storytelling sessions run at 11:30, 12:30 and 14:00 on each published date. The event is free; standard site admission applies. Booking is not required.
