Tackling Poverty & Disadvantage in Schools with Sean Harris

An in-person CPD session with Sean Harris exploring evidence-informed ways schools can tackle poverty and disadvantage.

This interactive morning session challenges simplistic, deficit-based explanations of educational disadvantage, asking delegates to use evidence to understand the barriers affecting children in their own school and community. Sean Harris guides participants in applying poverty-informed practice to bring about change across classrooms, corridors and wider school life. All delegates receive a copy of his co-authored book 'Tackling Poverty and Disadvantage in Schools'. The session runs three and a half hours and forms part of Kingsbridge's CPD 2026-27 collection.
