The Comic Strip Presents… + Q&A

An evening of Comic Strip Presents… screenings with clips, Red Nose Of Courage and Four Men In A Car, plus a live onstage Q&A with Peter Richardson, Doon Mackichan and Phil Cornwell.

Marking the alternative comedy series launched on Channel 4's first night in 1982, this event combines screenings with live reminiscence. The programme opens with a Best Of Rik reel of Rik Mayall's Comic Strip moments, followed by Red Nose Of Courage (1992), in which Ade Edmondson's John Major moonlights as a clown while Prime Minister. After an interval featuring Phil Cornwell and John Sessions in Stella Street, Peter Richardson, Doon Mackichan and Phil Cornwell take part in a live onstage Q&A, before the night closes with Four Men In A Car (1998), a tale of four salesmen's disastrous journey to Swindon.
