Merchant City Trad Trail

A two-hour guided walking tour through Glasgow's Merchant City exploring the songwriters and storytellers behind the city's folk and roots music scene.

Designed for Celtic Connections by Glasgow Music City Tours, this walking tour traces the story of Glasgow's folk and roots music scenes from their early beginnings to the present festival. Participants walk through some of the city's oldest streets with expert guides sharing tales of the songwriters and storytellers who shaped its folk culture. The tour lasts approximately two hours and includes several indoor stops where walkers can warm up with a coffee or something stronger. Tours start from the Scottish Music Centre at City Halls on Candleriggs.
