Walking the Ouse Burn Way

A free guided walk exploring sections of the Ouse Burn in Newcastle, focusing on urban nature and wildlife recording in autumn.

This guided walk explores different sections of the Ouse Burn with a focus on urban nature in autumn. Participants will record wildlife largely using the iNaturalist and iRecord apps, so a smartphone with these apps is optional but useful. The walk covers approximately two miles, mostly on well-maintained paths, and is part of the Ouse Burn Way project supported by the Reece Foundation.
