Wales National Flood Conference 2026

The 23rd annual Wales National Flood Conference brings together flood risk professionals for talks, networking and an early careers poster competition in Cardiff.

Organised by the CIWEM Welsh branch in partnership with ICE Wales Cymru, this one-day conference explores the latest developments in flood risk management in Wales. The programme covers themes of policy and betterment in decision making, adaptive catchments and coastlines, and shaping the future through people, skills and resilience, with speakers from government agencies, local authorities, academia and consultancies. The day also includes the annual Early Careers Poster Presentation Competition, sponsored by Arup, with the award presented at the close of the conference. Members and non-members are welcome, with networking opportunities before and after the sessions.
