Wild Guardians
About
A monthly volunteer gathering at the 42 Acres rewilding reserve for hands-on conservation work, wildlife surveying and nature connection, with a shared seasonal lunch.
Wild Guardians is a relaxed monthly volunteer session supporting nature restoration at 42 Acres, a rewilding nature reserve near Frome. The session runs from 10am to 2pm and is split into two parts: first, small groups carry out practical conservation tasks such as habitat management, wildlife surveying and ecological data collection; then a slower second half offers wild swimming, canoeing, birdwatching, photography and contributing observations to an iNaturalist project. At 1pm the group gathers for a simple seasonal lunch provided by 42 Acres. The gathering is led with ecologist Robyn of @nestandnettleecology and is open to everyone aged 12 and over, with no experience necessary.
