About
A costumed Regency Christmas ball at the Pump Room with dinner, dancing and live music, plus an optional afternoon dance workshop.
The Jane Austen Festival hosts its Christmas ball with a 'The Holly and the Ivy' theme, running from 8pm to midnight at the Pump Room in Bath. Tickets include a welcome drink, a two-course sit-down dinner and a traditional negus toast to Jane Austen, with Regency dancing led by the Jane Austen Dancers and live music from Beau's Band. Regency or late 18th-century costume is mandatory; under-14s are not admitted and 14–18s must be accompanied by a costumed adult. An optional pre-ball dance workshop runs 2–3.30pm at the Percy Community Centre on New King Street, exclusively for ball attendees.
