Mill Road Book Fest

A community book festival on Mill Road with a mega book-swap, recommendations, a zine-making workshop, children's activities and refreshments.

Marking the National Year of Reading 2026, Mill Road Book Fest offers a mega book-swap (bring up to 10 books, or drop them off from midday), printed book recommendations shared in advance by the public, and refreshments of tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits. A zine-making workshop led by Rebekah Massiah runs from 2pm to 4pm on the theme 'a book/poem that has had an impact on your life', with all materials provided and limited places booked in advance. Children's activities such as book folding, storytelling and an illustration workshop for ages 5-8 are planned, with parents required to stay.
