About
An exhibition of new paintings by Dame Barbara Rae inspired by her journey to Antarctica tracing Shackleton's route, at the Royal Scottish Academy.
A major exhibition of new work by Dame Barbara Rae RSA RA, made following her 2022 journey to Antarctica tracing Sir Ernest Shackleton's route during the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1914-17). The show presents a significant body of new work relating to locations along Shackleton's route, including South Georgia and Elephant Island, and follows her 2018 exhibition The Northwest Passage. It forms a highlight of the Royal Scottish Academy's bicentenary year.
