About

A girl escapes after a greedy man steals a wish-granting callaloo tree in this reimagining of Rapunzel rooted in Caribbean family storytelling.

A village tree grants wishes until a greedy man takes it for himself. After a couple wish for a child, the man kidnaps their daughter, who finds an extraordinary escape. Trish Cooke adapts her book and Robin Belfield directs this world premiere, a story of love, freedom and community.
