How Not to Read a Poem: Spooky Special
About
A live close-reading evening where Jeremy and Joe unpick two eerie poems in an informal, fun session at the Crypt of the Louis Marchesi pub.
Jeremy, a university lecturer and poetry critic, and Joe, a bookseller and poetry tutor, present a Halloween-themed edition of their poetry close-reading event. Jeremy brings Joe two eerie poems — one short, one longer, one new, one older, one by a Nobel Laureate and one set in haunted Norwich — and they read them together live in front of the audience. The two-hour evening takes place in the Crypt at the Louis Marchesi pub, is split into two parts with an interval, and is aimed at adults and curious readers aged 15 and up.
