Hay Castle marks Halloween with an indoor screening of An American Werewolf in London, John Landis's 1981 comedy horror noted for its pre-CGI special effects. Several scenes were filmed locally, including the Yorkshire Moors sequences shot on the road by Hay Bluff to Capel y Ffin and the Slaughtered Lamb pub, which was actually a house in Crickadarn. The bar opens at 7pm and the film starts at 8pm; visitors are advised to bring a cushion.
