Walking Football Sessions
About
A free-to-register walking football session in King Edward VII Park offering low-impact, slower-paced football for older adults and anyone wanting gentle exercise.
This Our Parks session offers walking football, a slower-paced version of the game where one foot stays on the ground at all times, with few-contact rules and kick-ins instead of throw-ins. It focuses on passing, skill and fitness rather than sprinting, making it suitable for older adults, people returning from injury, or anyone seeking low-impact exercise. The session is rated blue for moderate exertion, is capped at 30 attendees, and meets at the green space by the Outdoor Gym; participants only need to bring water.
