Book launch: 'The Quest for Democracy in Saudi Arabia'

Madawi Al-Rasheed and Maryam Aldossari discuss political participation and democratic change in Saudi Arabia at a book launch chaired by Adam Hanieh.

The launch explores the book’s challenge to claims that Saudi society lacks demands for participation, accountability and rights. The discussion places these demands in their political, social and historical contexts, including the roles of social movements, women, activists and civil society. Madawi Al-Rasheed and Maryam Aldossari speak, with Adam Hanieh chairing, in Main Building room R101. Registration is required, and seating is first come, first served.
