About

A display in Bess of Hardwick’s bedroom brings together her letters, a 400-year-old gown and a short film.

In Bess of Hardwick’s private bedroom, this display considers what she may have remembered in her final days through her letters, a rare 400-year-old gown and an eight-minute film. The film includes content about child loss; the page notes a quiet space in the gallery. Last entry is 45 minutes before the Hall closes.
