About
A study day with Dr Pamela Mason comparing Shakespeare's Richard II and Richard III, with four sessions at the BMI.
Dr Pamela Mason leads a study day examining two very different Shakespeare history plays: the lyrical Richard II, whose king falls from the throne to die in prison, and the pragmatic Richard III, who must first gain the throne before being unseated and killed in battle. The day runs from 10.15am to 4pm with four sessions, short morning and afternoon breaks and an hour for lunch. Written material and film extracts support discussion, which is welcome but never required, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
