A free monthly writing group for adults of all abilities, meeting at Storyhouse to share work and take part in timed writing exercises.

WriteTimeWritePlace is a sister group to an established writers' group that meets on the fourth Thursday of the month, created due to popular demand and meeting on the third Monday. Sessions bring together adults interested in writing of all kinds — epic fantasy, poetry, novels or short stories — to share work, learn and motivate one another. Meetings involve short, timed writing exercises using various prompts to keep writer's block at bay, and the group self-published a first anthology in 2025 with a sequel in progress. Each session lasts two hours; places are currently being allocated from a waiting list and applications are closed.
