Knaresborough on the Tracks

This Knaresborough railway exhibition follows the line’s local story from early proposals through railway and viaduct construction, rebuilding, wartime service, threatened closure and community-led rescue.

KMA’s exhibition brings together the 1847 foundation-stone commemorative trowel, returned to Knaresborough after 179 years away, a static miniature steam engine, railway memorabilia and golden-age posters. It runs from 23 September 2026 to March 2027, with no exact closing day stated. Free admission; donations appreciated. Open 10:00–16:00 on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
