Countdown to reopening of the public galleries

The Gurkha Museum is undergoing a major transformation, with the public galleries set to reopen in February 2027.

The museum is transforming into a global reference centre for Gurkha heritage through Project Kaida. The redevelopment aims to create a more accessible and immersive visitor experience with new displays and interactive interpretation. While the main galleries reopen in February 2027, the second floor remains open throughout the transformation period.
