About
An exhibition about everyday life in Ilkley during the 1950s, including the period when the railway viaduct still crossed the western side of town.
The exhibition uses aerial photographs by CH Wood and images of local events from the Ilkley Gazette and Ilkley Local History Hub to revisit the town around 1950. Visitors are invited to share memories and family stories, especially those connected with the Old Castle, now Ilkley Manor House. The exhibition is in the Western and Solar galleries, upstairs with no lift.
