Palace Page Turners
About
A book-club style session at the Palace of Holyroodhouse discussing Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper alongside the palace's Tudor and Stuart history.
Palace Page Turners is a series of reading-group sessions at the Palace of Holyroodhouse exploring literary works inspired by the palace and its treasures. The December session takes Mark Twain's fantastical novel The Prince and the Pauper, set in Tudor London, as the backdrop for a discussion of the Tudors and Stuarts. Participants explore the objects and spaces behind the work before a discussion over tea or coffee; texts are not included in the ticket price and should be purchased and read beforehand.
