Queer Play Reading Club: Tender by Eleanor Tindall
About
Queer Theatre’s reading club explores Tender by Eleanor Tindall, a queer romance with a haunted-house edge, through an informal table read and discussion.
The monthly club invites participants to share new writing, read Tender with its author and discuss the play’s themes and craft. The story follows Ivy and Ash, two women whose chance meeting leads to a relationship, while unease builds around an object left in a childhood bedroom and a flat with pulsing wallpaper. The play premiered at Bush Theatre in 2024 and returned there in 2026. Eleanor Tindall is the evening’s special guest, and Andrew Keates facilitates discussion. This is an informal shared reading rather than a staged performance; attendees can take part as much or as little as they wish, and a copy of the play is included. Doors open at 18:30 and the programme begins at 19:00. The event takes place upstairs at The Railway, with access via stairs only.
