Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem & Vaughan Williams: Five Mystical Songs

London Pro Arte Choir performs Brahms's German Requiem with piano duet and Vaughan Williams's Five Mystical Songs at St Michael's Church, Mill Hill.

The London Pro Arte Choir, conducted by Tom Winpenny, performs Brahms's Ein deutsches Requiem in an arrangement with piano duet accompaniment played by Ben Markovic and Pan Xiao. Soloists are soprano Natalka Pasicznk and baritone Alex Jones. The Requiem sets German texts chosen by Brahms from the Lutheran Bible, focused on comforting the living. Alex Jones also joins the choir for Vaughan Williams's Five Mystical Songs, settings of poems by George Herbert, ending with 'Let all the world in every corner sing'.
