About

A family pantomime of Sleeping Beauty, with songs, silliness and audience participation, runs at Rutherglen Town Hall from 9 to 23 December 2026.

This festive pantomime retells the Sleeping Beauty fairytale, in which the wicked sorceress Carabosse curses Princess Beauty to prick her finger on a spinning wheel on her 18th birthday. Fairy Monty and his magical band must protect the princess, with the story asking whether true love and a heroic prince can break the curse. The show promises songs, jokes, jeering and hissing, and plenty of audience participation for families.
