The Rise and Fall of Little Voice
About
A major new National Theatre production of Jim Cartwright's play about a shy young woman with a gift for impersonating the great divas.
Jim Cartwright's modern classic follows Little Voice, who sings pitch-perfect renditions of her late father's record collection of the great divas, from Judy Garland to Billie Holiday, alone in her bedroom. When her mother's new boyfriend Ray hears her sing, he sees a money-making opportunity and pushes her towards a spotlight she never asked for. Jill Halfpenny and Francesca Mills play mother and daughter in this National Theatre production directed by Robert Hastie. Performances run Wed 3 to Sat 6 Feb 2027 with evening shows at 7.30pm and matinees on Thursday at 2pm and Saturday at 2.30pm; the Saturday matinee is audio described and captioned with a pre-show touch tour.
