About
Staged readings of C. L. R. James’s The Black Jacobins lead into a participatory discussion about the Haitian Revolution and its continuing legacy.
An introductory discussion places James’s writing in context and considers Talawa Theatre Company’s history. Staged readings are followed by audience discussion about theatre, history and the continuing effects of the Haitian Revolution. The programme is intended for adults.
