Ruined Childhood - How Public Information Films Gave 70s Kids Nightmares

A four-hour talk exploring 1970s British public information films and the fears they instilled in a generation of children.

This talk looks back at the public information films of the 1970s, when a government department produced stark warnings about everything from road safety to fire hazards. The session revisits how these films unsettled the children who watched them and why they remain memorable. The event runs for four hours at Marriott's Warehouse Trust in King's Lynn.
