The December Charity Gig

A charity evening of live music at The HopBarn in aid of Beaumond House Community Hospice, featuring Amber Ackerman, The Terrible Parents and The HopYards.

The HopBarn rounds off 2026 with a three-hour live music fundraiser for Beaumond House Hospice, which provides palliative and end-of-life care across Newark and Sherwood and surrounding areas. The bill features Lincolnshire singer-songwriter and pianist Amber Ackerman, Southwell acoustic folk duo The Terrible Parents (Gord Whyte on guitar and vocals, Sarah Whyte on cello), and The HopYards, whose set of blues and jazz numbers features Leona Ashley on vocals, Mike Mellor on bass and Stuart Poole on keys. All proceeds go to the hospice.
