We Read Shakespeare

A relaxed monthly group reading Shakespeare's plays aloud together, with the first session covering Act 1 of Hamlet.

We Read Shakespeare is a relaxed social group that meets to read Shakespeare's plays aloud together, with no acting experience, preparation or expert knowledge required. At the first event on Monday 26 October, participants will read Act 1 of Hamlet, taking a short interval before finishing the act and then having an informal group chat about what they've read. There is no pressure to perform — attendees can take a character, share a smaller role or simply listen. The session lasts 90 minutes.
