A commissioned exhibition exploring art materials made from Cumbrian minerals.

Ground 5 celebrates Florence Paintmakers, which makes handmade art materials from minerals including Egremont Red iron ore, St Bees sandstone and local slates. Four commissioned artists—Alison Critchlow, Alistair Debling, Elizabeth Clough and Juliet Klottrup—created work exploring the materials and the area’s mining heritage. Free entry.
