Prokofiev Sonatas 1-5 (Sonata no 5, op 135)

Pianist David Christophersen performs Prokofiev's revised Fifth Sonata alongside Fauré and Martinu in a Cambridge Concert Artists recital.

David Christophersen gives a piano recital lasting about two hours including an interval. The programme centres on Prokofiev's Sonata no 5 in its 1952 revised version, paired with Fauré's Barcarolle no 13 and Nocturne no 13 in the first half and Martinu's 1953 Sonata after the interval. The recital forms part of the Cambridge Concert Artists series at West Road Concert Hall.
